Green Club of Thoughts (GCT) is the first inter/trans-disciplinary club established at Kathmandu University founded in 2007. The club aims to raise awareness on major educational, technical, social, and economic national issues as well as international issues engaging students of all seven schools in various activities. Since then, to effectuate the objectives of the club it has been working in a wide range of activities from interaction program on national issues to outreach activities in different corners of the country, and has conducted different inter/national workshops and schools collaborating with different community organizations.

On 27 March 2022, Green Club of Thoughts (GCT) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Organization for Women in Science for the developing World-Nepal chapter (OWSN). Prof. Dr. Bivek Baral (Patron of GCT) and Mr. Anup Chhetri (President of the Club) signed the MoU on behalf of club whereas Dr. Hemu Kharel Kafle (president of OWSN) signed on behalf of the organization.
Mr. Haris Adhikari, Advisor of the Club; Dr. Rajendra Adhikari, Technical Advisor of the Club; Mr. Ashim Joshi, Advisor of the Club; Associate director of Community Engagement Division (CED) KU, Mr. Kishor Khanal; Associate Director of Student Welfare, Dr. Sushil Shrestha and Counsellor of KU-Counselling Cell, Mr. Madhav Khatiwada witnessed the event. This MoU will establish a working relationship of mutual collaboration between the OWSN and GCT for a long-term collaboration on mutual areas of interests of both organizations through a partnership principle based on synergy, equity, mutual trust, and transparency. Both parties have agreed to conduct collaborative events in the field of gender discourse, women empowerment/awareness, public health and so on. Advisors and executive members of both GCT and OWSN were present to mark the event.
