Dear All,
Green Club of Thoughts (GCT) is the first inter/trans-disciplinary club established at Kathmandu University founded in 2007. The club aims to raise awareness on major educational, technical, social, and economic national issues as well as international issues engaging students of all seven schools in various activities. Since then, to effectuate the objectives of the club it has been working in a wide range of activities from interaction program on national issues to outreach activities in different corners of the country, and has conducted different inter/national workshops and schools collaborating with different community organizations.
Prof. Baral is a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kathmandu University. He holds Ph.D. from Auckland University, New Zealand, Masters Degree from University of Tokyo, Japan, and Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University. He is the first alumni of KU to become a full professor at KU. Besides his profession, his interests include aviation and anthropology. He is together with GCT since 2010.
Dr. Hem Raj Kafle (Associate Professor of English and Communication) is the Head of Department of Management Informatics and Communication (MIC), Kathmandu University. Dr. Kafle is an alumnus of the Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) program on Journalism and Media, University of Florida. He has to his credit one co-authored anthology of poems, two translated books, one collection (book) of reflective essays and one collection of poems in Nepali. He is with GCT since 2007.
Mr. Adhikari (Assistant Professor of English and Communication) is a published poet, creative writer, translator, and researcher. He has three books of poetry and translation to his credit, apart from numerous individual poetic pieces in various journals. He has taught courses in English language and literature, technical and intercultural communication, and academic writing and translation. GCT welcomed Mr. Adhikari in 2020 as an advisor of the club.
Dr. Adhikari is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, Kathmandu University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas, USA Masters Degree from University of Rhode Island, USA and Bachelors Degree from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal. His area of expertise includes Computational Material Science and High Performance and Scientific Computing. GCT welcomed Dr. Adhikari in 2021 as an advisor of the club..
Ashim Joshi, currently RA at Turbine Testing Lab, is a dynamic and interdisciplinary individual having experience working in different organizations including the National Human Rights Commission, NCDC, EWB, and Eco-Club.
Yuken Karki is a student of Environmental engineering at School of Science. Having interest in sustainable developments and environmental aspects, he shares a significant portion of his studies and interests with GCT.
Growing an inquisitive learner to become a righteous engineer, he is Anup Chhetri , Civil Engineering student learning and growing everyday to become something better for himself as well as the world.
Sephalika Dhakal is a third-year student of BBIS, who has conducted workshops on problem-solving for business development and participated in organizing Aarambha, an annual event of BBIS. Her interests include singing, song-writing, painting, and utilizing my creative energy to do anything of value.

Posen Sapkota, medical student at Kathmandu University, represents School of Medical Sciences. He loves building network and having fellowship. His strength is his attitude that he likes to take the challenge accepting both success and failure in a balanced way.
Sujit Man Shrestha represents the school of engineering at GCT, and currently a student of Mechanical engineering specializing in design and manufacturing. His motives for working alongside "Green Thoughts" and versatility to involve in social works to technical arenas are the ingredients to reflect his personality.
Rahul Maharjan is an art enthusiast from Yangal, representing the School of Arts. His works revolve around human emotions, memories, and experiences. He likes to explore variant color palettes and mixed media collages to create his artworks. He believes "life is full of magic if there is Art".
Roshan Ojha, currently an executive member of GCT is a third-year Mech. Engg. student. He is fond of traveling, fitness activities, playing Table Tennis and Snooker, and also enjoys reading books, listening to music, and playing guitar in his free time. He loves being a generalist rather than a specialist.
Samrajya Raj Acharya, a second-year student of Computational Mathematics representing the KUSOS heeds for applying mathematical principles, particularly in scientific computing. Being a pupil of mathematics, his locus integrates all those domains that involve any sort of descriptive and predictive analysis thus advancing to optimize the GCT.
Zunu Shrestha, represents school of law, having an enthusiasm to learn, is currently enrolled in Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Laws. She has a hobby to travel and also, she is keen to gain new experiences.
Kripa Tuladhar is a student of fine arts at Kathmandu University School of Arts. She has involved in many trans-disciplinary activities and is an active learner of art-engineering.
Ayush is a second-year computer engineering student at KU. He is a Python/Django enthusiast and currently a moderator at JetBrains Academy. He is a hard-working, invested and very humble individual who also likes writing.
Aadarsha Dhakal is a dedicated, hard-working and enthusiastic young who always craves learning more about new technology everyday. He is currently a freelancer having experience of working in different companies including Nepal Sports, Unelma Platforms, Tech Himalaya, Bytecare Technology, Quantum IT Solutions, and Ahaan Technologies(Australia).
Samrin Basnet is a student at KUSL. As a law student, she aspires to spread positivity, love, change, and peace through GCT.
Shekhar is a third year Media Studies student at the Department of Languages and Mass Communication, KUSOA. He is a devoted cricket fan, film enthusiast and a music freak. An aspiring media personality and a newbie visual storyteller who worked for The Creative Trail productions as a writer. Loves sounds and silence equally.
Nabin Mishra is specializing in automobile engineering. Having experience of working in different academic projects at the university he has demonstrable managerial and leadership skills.
Mahaharsha Rawal is a student of law at KUSL. He's a fresher and is currently working towards his goal to make people happy and believes GCT is a platform which can help achieve it.
Sushmita Humagain aims to be a social engineer and is currently paving the way to her destination in KUSL. Through GCT, she yearns to get a step closer to making a change that is practically possible in her sphere. She believes that GCT empowers the tribune inside of her to make minute changes that make worlds of difference.
Prayush Karki is a Design and Manufacturing Engineering undergraduate student at Kathmandu University. Collecting information and connecting with people has always been his interest. Besides graphics, he likes to read books.
Alsha Regmi, a law student at KU, is a national level tennis player of Nepal. Adept in the field of article-writing, her works have been published on eminent columns. Additionally, Regmi runs her own website under the name of Alshadynamics through which she delivers her work.
Eva Kafle is a student of language and communications at the KU School of Arts. She’s an exploring pianist, a national swimmer, a dedicated football fan and a greedy consumer of art in all its forms. She likes her hair short, coffee black, and work engaging- some of which you can find published in various national dailies.
Decisive, rational and confident; Pratistha Pokharel, BDS student at KU, is a natural leader with a flair to pinpoint inefficient procedures and policies. Well informed and well-read, she enjoys expanding her knowledge and passing it on to others. Pokharel is a strategic leader who is quick to see inefficiency and conceptualize new solutions and enjoys developing long-range plans to accomplish her vision. She excels at logical reasoning and is usually articulate and quick-witted.
Krishna Murari Parajuli, a first year law student is a diligent and hardworking individual. His interests are inclined towards music and sports. He is a fast learner and intrested to learn new things .

Concerned about the environment, often trying to indulge herself in nature, she wants to work in and with the Earth along with preparing herself for the world.

She aspires to inspire everyone around her in the most modest manners possible. To lend a helping hand to the ones in need is a motto she lives by. She is in the process of acknowledging the immense thirst in her for knowledge which is yet to be quenched.
